Chapter/Part 4

Destroyers, Wanderers, Healer



Past.



Robert looked down from his spot on the hill at the sleeping clan's below. This would be the final blow. And then the killing would be over. Mike looked over at Robert with a question in his face. "What is it Mike?" said Robert inching closer to his friend.



"Hear that music? It sounds sort of familiar. LIke something we did back on earth..." Mike whispered into Robert's ear. Mayra looked at him in shock.



"Yes, I hear it too..." said Robert looking back down at the sleeping clan. Earlier they had seen the Woman, children and healers go into the Tower. That was their weakest point. That was were they were to attack first.



Robert enhanced his sight with some magic and saw the figure of a woman. She had her back braced against a pillar and her mouth open. "There, use farsight at the tower. She's the one singing. She had long hair, and was a healer or just a maiden. All the other fighting woman and scouts were below the tower.



"I see her. We could take her out with one arrow..." said Mike trailing off. "I want to see what she looks like. There is something about her." Nodding to Mike, Robert and Mike slipped form their place and sneak toward the tower. Scaling the walls, in full armor wasn't fun, but with a bit of magic it was easy.



The girl stopped singing and said something softly up to the sky. Her face uplifted to the heavens. Robert felt his battle lust rising. Mike stepped into the shadows, clapping. She whipped around to face him. Robert stepped silently behind her. "Who are you?" she asked, her voice shaking a bit.



"Taysta? Randell? Scott? Danny? This isn't funny..." **More names** thought Robert.** But the last too sound familiar.** She shivered, and looked peared harder at Mike. Then Robert's Battle lust took control.



"Nice song, to bad it will be your last..." Robert said in a cold stone hard voice.



"Who are you? And What do you want?"



"We are your destroyers."



Then she did a strange thing, she said in a low voice. "I have no destroyers." then lights, and fireballs headed straight toward Robert. Hitting his and Mike's shields the lights went straight up into the sky. The woman's voice rang out into the air. "MY CLAN WE ARE UNDER ATTACK!"



As in the famous legend, the lady met the tiger. Dressed in full armor, and wielding a sword she became a formidable enemy.

As the light exploded into the night Robert, mike and Joy got their first look at each other. "My god! Robert!!! MIKE! Joy cried. Dropping her defenses. "You scared me from me to hell and back. Why didn't you say something?"



"What are you talking about?" said Mike, who was fight to regain control over the battle lust, and Caroline's control. "Joy?"



Joy smiled, "Yes Mike. Do you remember me now?" Mike shook his head as if to clear it. Robert was to far gone however to regain control. Seeing Joy's defenceless down, he attacked. Mike saw it just in time to step in between Robert and Joy.



"Robert, you know me, and you know Joy. Heck, you two were practicly going out! Snap out of it!" said M ike parrying Robert's blows. Joy just stood their in shock. Danny, Scott, Liz and Whisper and come outside and watch Mike and Robert do a little sword fight.



After a while Robert gained control and gave joy a fearice hug. "Dang it Robert, if I didn't know better I'd still think you were trying to kill me." Joy said when he let go. Robert and the others laughed.





Simon watched Robert and Mike rejoin their friends. He smiled and threw a dagger right at Robert's turned back. Joy saw it just in time to toss Robert out of the way. Mike caught it in a shield of Magic. Danny and Scott went after Simon, as Joy, Mike and Robert all sort of stared at the Dagger.



"Robert? You okay?" said Joy hugging him tight. "Don't ever do that to me again. Hear me? If I want to be scared shitless I will go to a horror movie." Joy smiled weakly and let Robert get air.



Simon fled to tell Caroline, her younger children had turned out alive and fighting.





Heaven's Gates.





I crept across the hallway. Robert followed me down the narrow hallway, as we searched for Simon and Caroline. Mike was in front of me and waving us forward. Danny, Scott, Mayra, Liz and Whisper all headed though the West wing and We the East.



I squeezed Roberts hand. He squeezed back, and I was glad we were together again. Mike popped in front of my face, if robert's hand hadn't covered my mouth in the same instant I would have screamed.



It was because though out the Castle, for the hour or so they had been here a song beat though the halls.



Deepest Secret



Five more steps down the hall, my heart pounded in my chest. Mike's feet made no sound on the stone walk.



Darkest Lair



Danny and Whisper slid into a library. Looking around the same shelf they bump into each other, squeaking the looked at each other and blush lightly.



To the Time



Liz and Scott walk though the empty throne room. Weapons drawn they find a stair case.



Where time stops



Mayra snuck up behind Mike and tapped his shoulder. He jumps five feet into the air and she grins impishly.



You Fall



Joy trips on a loose stone. Tears start to fall on her torn knee.



We pick you up.



Robert looks back and see's her fall, to late enough to catch her. He, Mike and Mayra run to help her up.



Family are we



Whisper looks up into Danny's face. A tear falls down her face. Danny looks down and picks her up. With a quick hug they walk up a flight of stairs.





Thought to be Dead



The Clans stay in the Peril Mountains, building a giant pyre for the dead guards and Dead Clan's members.



Deepest Lair



Caroline watches her model of Harpea. But she studies the Castle closest. Watching her children and their friends come to her.



Darkest Dream



Back on Earth, Mrs.Wood, Danny and Joy's mother, tosses and turns in a nightmare dream, of her missing children.



Dreaded Night



Robert's little step sister tosses in a dream she can not name. Crying out for her mother, her two year old eyes scrunched in tears.



The Past collides with the Future.



On earth five young people wake up having a dreaded feeling in the pit of their stomachs.



Bound by memory



Kitty shivered as she got out of bed. She slipped into the kitchen of her small apartment and got a glass of water and two aspirin. To take her dreams away.



Bound by ties not of blood



Suzi and Matt sit up in bed and look at each other. A nagging sensation was in their stomachs. They hadn't heard from Joy in a week or so. And were worried.



Bound by Honor



Jim sat up in bed, a nightmare or a fleeting thought flew though his head. He booted up his computer and got a glass of soda. He saw Derrick had beaten him online. **great** thought Jim.



Bound by Love



Derrick sat at his computer screen talking to Jim. They had both woken up with a gross feeling in their stomachs. The only family he had was the few friends he had online/offline.



Deepest Secret





Caroline waited to spring her trap.



Darkest Secret



Simon waited near the stairs, his job was to get Liz, Mayra and Whisper away from the five great grandchild and grandchildren.



Deadliest Game



Scott lost Liz in a maze of Halls, but found Danny who had lost Whisper. The looked at each other started running down the halls.



Deadliest Worry



Mayra had went first to find out where the tower steps were when she disappeared. Danny and Scott caught up just in time to see her gone.



Will you live?



Whisper cried as Simon neared her face. Taysta burst in and hit him upside the head. Simon turned to mush and Taysta gasped in horror.



Will you die?



Mayra shrank away from Simon, who inched closer and closer. Randell came in and sliced Simon into two different time zones. Mayra smiled a brilliant smile and Randell picked her up piggy back style toward the stairs leading toward the outside.



Who will come out of it alive?



The real Simon, had his hands full duking it out with Liz. Who was trying to do a Bobbit deal on him.



Who will find the bones?



The whole Clan, all of the clans, stood outside the tower. Guards, humans and clan members side by side.



Who will pray for your souls?



Liz , who after Simon got away, met up with Taysta, Whisper, Randell and Mayra, sat next to them on the grass looking up to god and the heavens praying for them to come home. On Earth The five older children of MErlin met online, The mothers and Fathers of the younger five all prayed to God to send their babies home safely.





To the Blackwidow



The five younger looked at a proceeding stair case, spiraling up to Caroline's work tower.



To the Enchantress



Caroline waited on a pile of tall pillows. Her long blond white hair spilling over the crimson pillows. Coal Black eyes with pupils.



To the Tide of Darkness



They gave each other a hug goodbye. Joy was crying, but the boys eyes only got a bit moist, but nothing ran over.



My family. We go.





A Mother and her stolen children.





Caroline looked up from her book. Joy gasped, as Robert squeezed her shoulder. Caroline's sky cold eyes stared sightlessly from her skull. Her face as wrinkled as a raisin. "We are supposed to kill that?" said Scott looking at the old old woman.



"Hello great grandson, Scott, I believe." said Caroline. Scott's eyes almost popped out of his head. Mike wanted to laugh. They had been expecting a young beautiful woman.



"Wait a minute. You were young when we left!" said Robert. Joy threw a dispel at Caroline. The spell of a old woman, became the black, no pupiled eyed, black haired maiden who had thrown them into Harpea.



"You are wrong grandson." came a sappy sweet voice from behind them. The boys whirled around to face a long, blond hair woman with baby blue eyes.



"Shmuck." Came Joy's favorite curse word. "We are in biggggg trouble boys."



"I got the pretty one." came Danny's deep voice.



"Which one was pretty again?" said Mike with a grin.



"Ladies," said Scott addressing Danny, Mike and Robert. "Being the eldest I will take on the blond haired one." Scott trying not to laugh his ass off, stepped forward.



"Now, now Grandson." said the blond one. "We wouldn't want you to hog me." Danny and Mike nodded and shoved Scott forward, and straight into the blond haired woman's arms. Robert, liking his head attached to his shoulders didn't answer.



The blond hair woman smiled and magicly put Scott back near the others. But he didn't all come, his armor had disappeared. Robert, Mike and Danny's armor and weapons has disappeared also. Only Joy's remained, she glared at the woman who had joined back into one person. A Blond haired, black eyed lady.



For she had, in place of their armor, had left shackles.

"LEt them go mother." said Joy in a strange voice. Once more getting hay wire on the boys. (music played here)



Deepest lie, Deepest song. Love's heart.





"Hello Spirit, I am glad you bought my babies home for me." said Caroline looking at Joy. "Now you will kindly bring back the other four grandchildren and your eldest sister..."



"Never. I swore to father I would save them. Nothing has changed. The world is still in turmoil." said Joy her hair coming unbond from it's bun. Flowing free her armor changed to mage robes.



"Come, child you can't defeat me. And I still have these four little gems..." said Caroline dragging the boys by the shackles and chains toward her and the wall behind her. Pulling Robert closer she held a dagger to his throat. "Be wise my daughter, your lover. For your life."



Joy's robes faded suddenly into dust. Her tunic and leggings were left. "You win mother. Just remember, Starlight and her side of the family is still to come... they will finish what we started." said Joy as Caroline dropped Robert to the floor. Which promptly threw him against the wall of the tower.



"Good choice my daughter." Caroline said. Joy winced at being called her daughter. "My little song bird... Do you remember how you used to sing for your father and I? Such happy times..." Caroline's smile of victory soon became a evil grin. "It's a good thing you came home. This way I can have my family all back together again."



She reached were Joy stood. Caroline reached forward and touched Joy's shoulders, with her clawed hands. Joy screamed, as pain shot up her shoulder blades. She bit her lip, as she sunk to the floor. Wings sprouted from her shoulders, ripping her tunic, down the back.



The midnight black wings fluttered around her, as Joy sat up. Looking at Robert, Mike, Scott and Danny she tried to smile. The she almost screamed again. This time one of those OH SHIT NOOOOOO!!!!!!!! screams.



Caroline advanced on the boys. Slow and deliberate, Caroline reached up to Mike's face. Claws extended she drew her nails over his faces. For Mike's credit he didn't scream. But even if he did Joy's would of covered it.



Mike doubled over, his face scratched and bloody, turning into a grotesque shapes. His body, scaly and hard. Everyone but Caroline flinched backwards. Caroline just laughed, licking the blood from her nails.



Danny looked a bit horrified as Caroline came closer to him. She licked her lips, and fangs glittered in the pale light. Caroline reached over and put Danny's neck back.



Danny didn't like it one bit, as two sharp pointed fangs sank into his throat. What was worse was anyone who knew Danny, knew his throat was incrediblilty sensitive.



Struggling with the bonds, holding his neck, arms and ankles to the wall, Danny looked a bit paler in the light. Caroline stepped back, licking her lips slowly. Danny looked up and met Joy's eyes. HIs eyes had a feral look to him. They gave Joy the creeps. But only when Mike's eyes got the wild look too.



Robert and Scott both looked at Joy. Their eyes hiding their fear and horror. Joy tried to get up to help them. But her wings unbalanced her so that after a shaky step she fell to her knees. Joy had tears dripping down her cheeks. Leaving paths of clean skin, where dirt and dust had collected.



Caroline smiled and looked at Robert and Scott. They met her eyes with none of the hidden fear. She smiled and looked at Scott. Her smiled turned into a thing of evil proportions. Scott got one little shiver going up his spine.



She just smiled and looked at him again. like one would look at a chunk of meat, in a meat market. A thorny vine snaked across the room to Joy's mouth, as she opened it to scream at Caroline. Caroline turned, "What is it Daughter? YOu stole my children from me. I am simply making it so they do not abandon me again. In these forms they are monsters. Monsters with no minds or wills of their own. Only mine."



The thorns dug into Joy's skin so drops of red blood could be seen. Caroline smiled. "Don't hurt you mouth, Song Bird. YOu will needed it to preform." She looked back at Scott. "Now my little grandson... What shall we do to you. YOu who deliberately defied me. YOu shall die, yet live."



Caroline gathered her magic and sent it coursing though Scott's body. He started to fade in and out. Finally after a while he just faded out. Then came back sort of solid, and yet not all there. Black shrouds surrounded him as his eyes glowed blood red.



Robert locked eyes with Joy, looking at her. Caroline stepped in front of him. She just looked at him. "YOu betrayed me. I offered you the world, both of them! YEt you went back to just being friends with my daughter. YOu shall not be forgiven." said Caroline in a voice unlike any other. Joy thought it sounded like Nails on a chalk board, evil style.



Gathering her power she pointed one finger at him. The blood red aura, of blood lust, hate and anger flowed from the finger into Roberts body. His eyes narrowed into Cat like slits. "Shifter... wraith, Vampire and Demon." said Joy in shock, as the boys were sealed into a cage like box. Bars separating them from her.



As she crawled forward to reach the cage they silenced. But when she got near they all rushed at the bars, trying to get at her. now, Joy wasn't stupid and jumped back. Caroline smiled, "Little song bird, I am having a feast tonight, you shall sing. And sing every night, until I am pleased to find another song bird. Then I shall let you free, to be beaten and attacked by the Harpeans. Heal you and send you to Earth. Where you shall be studied as a human lab rat. Or accused of Murder..." said Caroline, shutting the tower door, and walking down the flights of stairs.



Joy crawled to the window and looked down, Liz, Whisper, Randell, Taysta and Mayra all looked up and saw her. They saw the wings, they saw no boys. Then Randell sent up a fireball to her window.



Joy crawled back toward the boys. Stopping a few feet away from the cage. "They will wait for the older siblings, send them here and save us. I know they will..." said Joy trailing off as she looked at the boys.
